Pursue A Different Greatness

As humans, we all love to be great. Even if some claimed that they were not the ambitious type, no one wish to be disregarded. Thus, inherently, we all desire greatness. Why? Because we are created for greatness. Humans received the promise of God to multiply and to rule over other creation, so as to magnify the glory and wisdom of God. Thus, the Lord is also pleased that we desire greatness. Yet, God wants us to yearn for a different kind of greatness, not the kind of superiority aimed at self-glorification. Sin has corrupted the yearning for the pure greatness that God has given us. Thus, we have to be sanctified by the truth and seek to be great in the eyes of God.
