Graciously Save, Radically Transformed
As sinners, we are all lost before Christ enters in our lives, only living according to the mainstream culture and thoughts of the world, while losing the centrality of our purpose and selves. Out of God’s supreme grace, Jesus came so as “to seek and to save what was lost.” When the gospel penetrates and seeds in human’s hearts, we come to realize we are the recipients of God’s grace, and see ourselves in a different light – with God’s promise!
Indeed, when salvation enters the hearts of men, we become new creations in Christ. As Paul said in Galatians 2:20, I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself to me.” This means that a saved sinner will leave a radically transformed life due to the new heart given them through born again.
Indeed, the grace of God is more than just pardoning of sins – it gives rise to a heart, and thus life of repentance.
